Mother’s Day is fast approaching on May 14, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate moms and caregivers than with the gift of travel. If you agree, we’ve pulled together a selection of the best Mother’s Day hotel packages and special deals to make this year’s celebration extra special.
From big-city weekends to spa escapes, here are six Mother’s Day hotel deals that any mom or caregiver would be happy to receive.
Kimpton Alton Hotel — San Francisco
The Kimpton Alton Hotel’s prime location just two blocks from San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf makes it the perfect spot to treat mom to a weekend getaway. Guest rooms have thoughtful touches like plush robes, Atelier Bloem bath amenities and a record player (you can borrow records from the front desk). Plus, Kimpton is really rolling out the red carpet for moms with its new “You Deserve a Mom-ent” package.
This package pampers moms with overnight accommodations, a special in-room playlist and a bath turndown service with tailored spa choices. Mom can pick a cocktail or zero-proof cocktail, along with a bath tray of salts and aromatherapy towels.
You must book the package by June 30, and it is good for stays between April 1 and June 30. Prices start around $450 per night (plus taxes and fees). You cannot book this package using IHG One Rewards points, but you should be able to earn IHG One Rewards points on your stay when you book directly with the hotel.
The “You Deserve a Mom-ent” package is also available at a selection of other Kimpton hotels across the U.S.
Grand Hotel — Mackinac Island, Michigan
Mackinac Island’s Grand Hotel harks back to a time when families “summered” at large lakeside resorts and spent their days swimming, sipping pre-dinner cocktails in rocking chairs and dancing the night away to live entertainment.
Mom can do all that and more when visiting the Michigan hotel this year on Mother’s Day weekend. Grand Hotel’s “Mother’s Day Weekend” package is designed for families who want to celebrate Mom with a weekend of togetherness. The package includes accommodations, daily breakfast and dinner, Mother’s Day morning brunch with a Champagne toast, daily and nightly entertainment throughout the weekend, and more.
The Mother’s Day Weekend package is available for Mother’s Day weekend only, arriving on Friday, May 12, and departing on Sunday, May 14; it allows up to two adults and two children to stay in a room. Prices start around $680 per night (plus taxes and fees) for a family of four.

West Baden Springs Hotel — West Baden, Indiana
West Baden Springs Hotel is a historic luxury resort in southern Indiana’s Hoosier National Forest. What does that mean for Mom? Pampering and peaceful surroundings. The hotel is more than 100 years old and features a massive glass-domed atrium (some rooms have atrium views). It also features an indoor pool and hot tub and a full-service spa.
The real allure of this property is the natural sulfur springs that gave the hotel its name. When the hotel opened in the late 1800s, guests came from far and wide to experience the springs’ healing waters. Today, you can wander the outdoor gardens and see a few of the wells used to harvest water from the springs still standing.
There is also a trolley service to take guests to the next-door French Lick Resort, where there is a casino, bowling alley and more gorgeous land to explore.
When you book the Mother’s Day package, you’ll get one-night overnight accommodations for two on May 13 or 14 at the West Baden Springs Hotel, along with Mother’s Day brunch for two in the atrium on May 14.
You must call 877-545-4722 to reserve the package. Pricing for a room with a balcony overlooking the atrium is around $670 per night. Non-balcony and exterior-view rooms are about $100 less.
The William Vale — Brooklyn, New York City
Rising high above the banks of New York City’s East River, The William Vale offers sweeping views of the city. You can enjoy the views from your guest room, the rooftop bar, the outdoor gardens (complete with a food truck serving burgers, fries and ice cream out of a converted Airstream) or the seasonal outdoor pool.
The William Vale’s “Mother May I” package comes with a 40% discount on overnight accommodations, late checkout, a complimentary room upgrade and special gifts like locally made truffles and fragrances.
The package is available throughout May, though blackout dates apply and only a limited number of rooms are available. If the package is sold out, you can also book the similar “Spring Exclusive” package that includes the same 40% room discount along with complimentary breakfast.
Package pricing starts at around $265 per night.
The Omni Grove Park Inn — Asheville, North Carolina
The Omni Grove Park Inn will wow Mom with unforgettable mountain views and sweet Southern charm. Moms can spend the weekend hiking through the Blue Ridge Mountains, indulging in head-to-toe treatments at the subterranean spa, golfing at the hotel’s championship course or all of the above.
